Almost entire Northern region is going to witness a prolonged spells of rain & snowfall
starting from 25th Evening to 28th Night, as a active
Western Disturbance as a trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at
5.8 km above mean sea level is over Afghanistan & West Pakistan border
region and will move eastward towards Central Rajasthan of India (now runs
roughly along Long. 62°E to the north of Lat. 28°N). This is likely to affect
Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains from the night of 25th November,
a another Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan
& neighborhood between 1.5 & 3.1 km above mean sea level persists under
its effect, a trough is likely to form across West Rajasthan and adjoining
Pakistan.
State-wise
weather forecast:
Rajasthan: Light to moderate
rainfall is very likely in parts of Central & North Rajasthan (major cities
like Hanumangarh, Alwar, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Sikar, Jodhpur and Phalodi and there nearby areas) from 25th Evening
to 27th Morning. Heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm or hailstorm
activities may be witnessed at isolated places during the same time Places like
Sriganganagar and Jaiselmer are not likely to receive any significant rainfall
from this upcoming spells although one or two isolated thunderstorm activities
cannot be denied at the same time.
Haryana & Delhi/NCR:
Light to moderate rainfall is very
likely in parts entire Haryana and Delhi/NCR starting from south Haryana (major
cities like major cities like Faridabad, Gurgaon, Manesar, Palwal, Aurangabad,
Rewari, Pataudi, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurushetra, Sirsa,
Fatehabad, Hisar, Kaithal, Chandigarh and there nearby areas) and Delhi/NCR
from 25th Evening to 27th evening. Heavy rainfall along
with thunderstorm or hailstorm activities may be witnessed at isolated places
during the same time.
Punjab: Light to moderate
rainfall in most of parts of Punjab except some parts of south west Punjab (major
cities like Amritsar, Batala, Gurdaspur Jalandhar, Moga, Patiala, Ludhiana,
Mansa, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and there nearby areas) from 26th Noon to
28th Morning. Heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm or hailstorm activities
may be witnessed at isolated places during the same time. But Places like
Abohar and Molout are not likely to receive any significant rainfall from this
upcoming spells although one or two isolated thunderstorm activities cannot be
denied at the same time.
Uttar Pradesh: Light to
moderate rainfall in entire West Uttar Pradesh (Major cities like Saharanpur,
Bijnor Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar and
there nearby areas) from 26th Noon to 28th Morning. East
Uttar Pradesh is likely to remain unaffected from this spell but Central U.P.
(Places like Lucknow, Kanpur and there nearby areas) may witness one or two isolated thunderstorm
activities on 27 and 28 November.
Jammu & Kashmir,
Laddakh, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand: all Four Himalayan regions are
likely to be affected by this system, light to moderate rainfall/snowfall along
with some heavy spells of rainfall/snowdall will be witnessed in all four
region starting from 26th November and will last till 28th
Night. During this period snowfall is much likely to occur at most of places at
the altitude of 2000m or above, places like Spiti, Manali, Narkanda and upper
parts of Shimla, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Auli are much likely to receive the
major snowfall activity during this period.
After 28th
November after this system will come to end, intense northwest chilly winds
will take the grip over entire northern plains and as result people will be forced
to use the sweater and jackets and then we can declare it as proper winter
season.
